The
goal was to create designs for a poster commemorating
the 30th Star Trek Anniversary, a series of
Star Trek Voyager coffee mugs, and a book cover for a
Star Trek meditations manual. This series of designs
resulted from concepts I developed using “wit and
wisdom” quotes taken from Star Trek and the various
series spin offs. The work was a collaboration between
myself and four additional companies; Haskett Graffix,
Centric Corporation of Los Angeles, Portal Publications
of San Francisco, and Paramount Pictures.
Paramount supplied the
star ship, character images and fonts. Artwork was done
by Centric Corporation and Haskett Graffix. With my
knowledge of Star Trek, I supplied input and ideas for
the designs and quotes. Also, I acted as liaison between
Haskett and Centric, and Haskett and Portal.
